Today is a very special day. Cindy sold her company and we have just returned from the closing.
I’m sure Cindy will add to this later, but knowing her as I do, she will not pat herself on the back. She started her company from scratch with nothing more than an idea. The first day of her business was spent cold calling for customers as were many days after. In only six months she was able to generate a regular paycheck. According to The Small Business Administration’s Office of Advocacy (www.sba.gov/advocacy), only half of small businesses survive past five years. Only one third survive past ten years. Cindy grew her company, both top and bottom lines, year over year for twenty consecutive years. Stop. Think about that for just a second. Wow! Right? I couldn’t be more proud of her and her accomplishments.
Today, Cindy has significantly single handily increased our sailing kitty. We are ever so close to moving onto Cream Puff full time. We can almost taste the salt air. Exciting times are ahead. But first, a little R&R for Cindy. She deserves it.
